These terms govern your use of Snaptally, operated by Artchemy Labs LLC ("we", "us"). By using Snaptally you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Snaptally converts time notes you have already recorded — photographed, typed, timed, or imported from a calendar — into a formatted timesheet you can copy or export. It is a formatting and transcription aid. It is not an accounting, payroll, invoicing, or legal-compliance system, and it does not submit anything to your employer or billing provider on your behalf.
Snaptally is in active development. Features may change or be removed, and interruptions are possible. Nothing here should be read as a commitment that a particular feature will continue to exist. Accounts created before October 5, 2026 keep permanent backup of their timesheets at no cost, for as long as the account exists.
Your entries are stored in your browser unless you enable Sync. You are responsible for keeping your own records. Clearing your browser data will erase local entries permanently, and we cannot recover them. If your timesheet data matters — and for billing it usually does — export to CSV or enable Sync.
Entries stored on our servers have a one year lifetime. An entry is deleted fifty two weeks after its own date, on every plan, free and paid. Upgrading does not extend it. If you need a record beyond that, download a CSV or turn on the monthly export, which emails you everything on your sheet once a month and is free on every plan. This is a limit on what we hold, not a limit on what you can keep.

Transcription is performed by automated systems and will sometimes be wrong — misreading a time, a duration, or a description. You are responsible for reviewing every entry before relying on it, submitting it, or billing from it. We are not liable for losses arising from unreviewed output.
Snaptally relies on third parties: Google (transcription, and Calendar if you connect it), Anthropic (transcription, when Google is unavailable), Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments), and our hosting and email providers. Your use of connected third-party services is also governed by their terms. We are not responsible for their availability or their acts.
Transcription may be handled by either Google or Anthropic depending on which is available at that moment. The app tells you on screen which one handled a given request. Neither receives your name, email or account ID, and each handles what it receives under its own policy. Our Privacy Policy describes this in full.
Snaptally, its name, and its software remain ours. Your content stays yours — we claim no ownership over your time entries, notes, or uploads. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process and store that content in order to provide the service.
Using Snaptally without an account is free and is not time-limited. Creating an account starts fourteen days of full Pro, after which the account moves to the free plan unless you subscribe.
On the free plan, the sheet shows the last fourteen days of entries. Older entries are not deleted and are not lost; they are hidden from view, they are still in your CSV export, and subscribing makes them visible again. The free plan also holds up to three saved clients. That is a limit on the saved list only. You can always type any client or project straight onto an entry, and an entry is never refused because a name is not on the list.
Transcription has a daily cap per account on every plan. It is there to stop a script or a mistake from running up a bill, not to meter honest use.
These limits may change as the service develops. If a change would remove something from a plan you are paying for, we will give notice as described under Availability and changes.
Price. Snaptally Pro costs $4.99 per person per month, or $49.90 per person per year, in US dollars. A workspace is billed for the number of people in it who are not already covered. Adding a person mid cycle is prorated by Stripe; removing one credits the balance against your next invoice. Anything usable without an account today remains free.
Who you are paying. Payments are collected by Artchemy Labs LLC through Stripe, Inc. Your card statement will show SNAPTALLY. We never see or store your card number.
Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Annual plans are charged for the full year in advance.
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from Billing and plan in your account, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep access until then, and your timesheet data is never deleted when a subscription ends.
Refunds. If you are not satisfied, email support@snaptally.xyz within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it in full, no questions asked. Outside that window refunds are at our discretion, and we will not unreasonably refuse one. We do not prorate refunds for an unused portion of a period you chose to cancel.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it and emails you. Nothing is hidden or removed while that is happening. If every retry fails, the subscription is cancelled and the account returns to the free plan with its data intact.
Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase takes effect on an existing subscription.
We aim to keep Snaptally available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it. Where practical we will give notice of material changes to these terms by updating the date above and, where appropriate, notifying you in the app.
You may stop using Snaptally at any time and delete your account from your account page. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, or where required by law.
Snaptally is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost or corrupted data arising from your use of Snaptally. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of Snaptally will not exceed the greater of one hundred US dollars (USD 100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the limitation applies only to the extent permitted.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hartford County, Connecticut, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
